Technical and Financial Assistance

The Campbell County Conservation District offers financial and technical assistance to Campbell County landowners. If you need technical assistance feel free to contact our office and we can put you in contact with our agriculture conservation technician. Farmers can also apply for Federal Farm Bill Programs through the Natural Resource Conservation Service, if our programs aren't what you are looking for.

{Soil Erosion} Assistance is available to address soil erosion problems on cropland, pastureland and urban land uses.
{Pond Design} Property owners can request assistance for site selection, design and construction of ponds and small lakes.
{Homeowner Assistance} Homeowners can request assistance with their problems ranging from drainage to establishing vegetation.
{Conservation Planning} Professional planners are available to assist landowners in developing alternatives for proper land use.
{Farmland Preservation}  Guidance and direction is provided to those seeking ways to protect prime farmland and open spaces.
{Wildlife Planting}  Property owners can request assistance to develop or improve wildlife habitats on their property.
{Forestry} Assistance is available on forestry planning and management. Landowners can find out the proper species to choose and how to protect their forests from livestock.

{Agricultural Water Quality Plan} Assistance is available to landowners on how to prepare an Agriculture Water Quality Plan. All landowners with agricultural activity on 10 or more acres or horticultural activity on five acres is required to have an Agriculture Water Quality Plan.
